I thought it was the window cat bed.

Which I ordered. Because it was $17 on Amazon and maybe it would keep the cat off the chair. Nash likes sitting there because he can watch the birds.

I came home and saw the notice and figured the cat bed required a signature, which seems stupid for $17, but there you have it.

It wasn’t the cat bed.

My nephew and his husband opened it and returned it. Must have been the next day, given how quickly it came back to me.

It’s been 3 weeks. I’ve been mostly silent. There is so much I no longer understand about the world.

Wow. It’s their loss… but I know you feel a loss too. I am so, so sorry. ??

That’s pretty awful, because it’s deliberately hurtful. I wish you at least had some idea why you’re being shunned in such a manner.

It speaks volumes about them sadly, but the lack of ‘why’ must be both confusing and wounding. I am sorry

Life is too short to close doors. I am so sorry that this is the path that was taken.

That was really an intentionally hurtful thing to do. No note? No explanation? If they were ever worthy of your love and affection, surely they could have been adult, and said what was the issue or put it in black and white!

It is their issue not yours so try to put it away and let it go…… Maybe have a ceremonial fire and release those hurts to the past
